You arrive at the crime scene, a murder has occurred. Bloodstains should be present but can’t be seen. How can you determine if and where the blood is located? In this activity, a simulated blood sample will be detected using a chemiluminescent blood detection solution similar to the type used by actual forensic scientists! As the blood detection solution comes in contact with simulated blood, a bright blue glow appears. An excellent inexpensive activity that may be used alone or added to your current forensics unit. Includes detailed instructions and enough materials to perform the activity over 50 times. No actual blood or blood products are used.
