Product Details

Students learn about the flow and transfer of heat energy with this hands-on laboratory activity. They fill one insulated container with hot water and the other with cold water; and link the two containers with an aluminum transfer bar—heat transfer occurs across the bar. Students record the temperature change of the water in the cups over time and relate the change to the associated heat transfer. Kit contains aluminum transfer bar, two insulated containers, two thermometers and detailed laboratory instructions. Purchase one as a classroom demonstration, or purchase one for each laboratory group.
