Students build their own mini hovercraft. They then use their hovercraft to model the resulting motions of both balanced and unbalanced forces. They must identify the forces acting on their hovercraft. They must also describe the motion of their hovercraft and make connections to Newton’s 1st law of motion. Includes access to pre-lab videos, editable lab instructions, downloadable student handouts, detailed background information, safety information, teacher notes with answers to all questions and sample data, and teaching and lab tips.
