What determines the period of a pendulum’s swing? Is it the weight of the plumb bob, the length of the pendulum or the height at which it is set in motion? Flinn’s quick and easy setup allows students to run a variety of experiments to discover the properties of a pendulum’s swing. Teacher Notes, reproducible student handouts and all specialized equipment are provided. Timers, meter sticks and support stands with rings are required but not included.
