Understanding Three-Dimensional Instruction—The Foundation of NGSS. This introduction proves a simple context for understanding three-dimensional instruction. Using a Venn Diagram, something we might use with our students, we get a flavor for how the science and engineering practices (SEP’s), crosscutting practices (CCC’s) and disciplinary core ideas (DCI’s) work together to provide holistic science teaching and learning.
