In this PAVO bundle, students are introduced to kinetics through a series of five synchronous activities, four of which are hands-on lab experiments. Hands-on lab experiments help students bolster their knowledge of kinetics by allowing them to study various facets of kinetics. These include studying the effects of reactant concentration and temperature on a chemical reaction; exploring the kinetics of removing a galvanized coating, and studying the kinetics of a fading reaction with a spectrophotometer; and determining the rate law by figuring out the order of the reactants. This bundle also features laboratory videos that visualize real phenomena. Engage students and help them understand the real-life applications of kinetics. Interactive/self-grading also helps track student progress as each activity, lab, and demonstration is completed. This bundle also features an additional activity, POGIL Rate of Reaction, which guides students in the analysis of graphs and data in order to better understand the rate of change for a reactant or product in a chemical reaction.
