Product Details

Do sunscreens really work? Are the SPF ratings accurate? Students use sun print paper to measure the relative effectiveness of sunscreens of varying SPF ratings. The dramatic results give students first-hand experimental data on the effectiveness of sunscreens. After preliminary results, further experimentation can be done to compare brands or test other variables affecting the effectiveness of sunscreens.

Complete with enough materials for 60 trials of the experiment*. This allows for student-designed experiments beyond the basic procedure.

*Sunscreens of 3 varying SPFs required for procedure. Not included in kit.
