The “Magic Genie” Chemistry Demonstration Kit enchants students as potassium iodide is dropped into a flask containing hydrogen peroxide for a fun kinetics experiment. A “magical genie” appears in the form of water vapor and oxygen.
When potassium iodide is dropped into a flask containing 30% hydrogen peroxide, a “magical” genie appears in the form of water vapor and oxygen. Teacher Demonstration Notes included.
Concepts: Catalysts, gases, exothermic reactions. Time Required: 15 minutes.
