In this two-part “mystery” analysis, students first decode the color bands on a series of nine unidentified resistors to predict their resistance values. They then test their predictions by placing the resistors in series and parallel circuit combinations and measure the current and voltage. Students see how resistors help control the current to circuit components and split voltage to bring power to multiple components.
