Student/teacher safety was a prime consideration in the design of this spectrum tube power supply. Specially molded spectrum tube sockets easily enable the tube(s) to be placed in position but also provide maximum protection for the user against accidental electrical contact. The sockets are fully shielded. A current-limiting transformer operates from your 110-V AC line to provide the voltage to operate spectrum tubes. The bottom socket of the power supply is spring loaded to facilitate easy tube placement and removal. The power supply is confined within a heavy metal box.
