Students model the greenhouse effect by adding carbon dioxide to a water bottle, placing it in front of a light source, and measuring the change in temperature over time. Students will also have a control bottle with ambient air to compare their results. Students learn what the greenhouse effect is and how the addition of extra greenhouse gases into the atmosphere may affect global temperatures.
