     ABO/Rh Blood Typing—Student Laboratory Kit
Students fully characterize their own blood with this kit. Detailed instructions include safety considerations, genetics of blood types, transfusion considerations and details of blood-typing mechanisms. Complete for 50 students. Lyophilized sera, no refrigeration necessary. Ready for immediate use.
FB1221 I $116.90
Counting Simulated Red Blood Cells Using a Hemocytometer— Student Laboratory Kit
Students gain understanding about clinical lab tests in diagnosing diseases by using hemocytometers to count red blood cells (RBCs) in simulated blood samples. The concentration of RBCs per cubic centime- ter of blood is calculated to determine the blood count, and then the data are applied to disease parameters. Kit contains 10 disposable hemocytometers and materials and instructions to prepare more than 1 L of simulated blood.

ABO/Rh Simulated Blood Typing—Student Laboratory Kit
Simulated blood-typing kit allows for lifelike testing of blood types in the ABO system as well as Rh factor. Students use actual medical blood-typing plates to determine the blood types of four individuals. After collecting data, students consider paternity and genetic questions about the four tested individuals. Includes enough materials to perform over 50 tests. No blood or blood products are used.

    Estimating Hemoglobin Concentration—Student Laboratory Kit
In this lab activity, students estimate the amount of hemoglobin in a small sample of blood using a colorimetric method. By comparing the color of their own blood
to that of a standardized color chart, students gain insight into the function and properties of hemoglobin and the rela- tionship of hemoglobin concentration to anemia. Includes materials for 30 students. Disinfecting solution and a biohazard bag are required and sold separately.
