Temperature Probe
Our lowest cost sensor is also rugged and dependable. Temperature range is –40 to 135 °C with a maximum of 150 °C. Stainless steel shaft and tip can be used in organic liquids, salt solutions, acids and bases. Perfect for first-year physical science, biology, and chemistry students. Analog sensor.
Thermocouple
Ideal for the study of flame temperatures. The thermocouple sensor measures the temperature difference between two points. Range is –200 to 1,400 °C with precision of ±2 °C. Demonstrate the various temper- atures of a flame or follow an exothermic reaction in a classroom. Has a built-in ice-point compensation chip so there is no need to place a reference wire in a ice-water bath. Analog sensor.
pH Sensor
More features and versatility than higher priced, full-featured pH meters. Combination gel-filled electrode has a range of 0–14 pH. System includes pH electrode and a convenient soaking bottle with storage solution.
Drop Counter
An optical sensor accurately records the number of drops of titrant added during a titration. This sensor, along with a temperature or pH probe, will record pH and temperature values and calculate the first and second derivatives of the pH for easy equivalence point determination. The Drop Counter Sensor can also be used as a utility clamp any time an electrode needs to be held into place. It can also be used with your own buret or with the included reagent reservoir—designed to keep the drop size consistent. Includes a microstirrer, which when attached to a pH probe and used with any magnetic stirring plate, provides faster response after each drop is added. Digital sensor.
Gas Pressure Sensor
The perfect gas pressure sensor for chemical and biological experi- ments. Pressure range is 0 to 210 kpa with a maximum of 4 atm. Analog sensor.
Colorimeter
Determine the concentration of a solution by analyzing its absorbance or transmittance. Four wavelengths are available. 635 nm—red, 565 nm—green, 470 nm—blue, and 430 nm—violet. Great for determining the concentration of an unknown solution, Beer’s Law experiments, or studying changes in concentration versus time. Includes 15 3.5-mL cuvettes. Package of 100 cuvets and 20 lids is available separately. Analog sensor.
