PAVO Bundle: Genetics

This PAVO bundle offers five synchronous and asynchronous activities, two of which are hands-on experiments. These activities help students better understand the field and study of genetics. An additional activity, POGIL Meiosis, helps students develop a sound understanding of how sexual reproduction leads to genetic variation. Demonstrations within this bundle will help students visualize how each chromosome moves and changes as well. Laboratory videos of real phenomena engage students and visualize multiple processes within the study of genetics. Interactive/self-grading will help track student progress as demonstrations, labs, and experiments are completed. Upon completion of these activities, students will gain a better understanding of meiosis I & meiosis II, mitosis, DNA structure, dominant traits, recessive traits, and more.
