Flinn Slide Gel is used to create a wet-mount microscope slide chamber for the long term observation of microscopic organisms. This unique material allows the passage of oxygen and metabolic wastes, thus allowing organisms to stay alive on a slide for a relatively long period of time. This added time allows for longer term observations of growth, reproduction and behavior of the organisms.
