Seeing the Invisible

Carbon dioxide is an odorless, colorless gas. In this demonstration, place several lit candles on a ramp, create some invisible CO2 gas in a beaker, and then “pour” the CO2 down the ramp. Students will observe the presence of the gas as successive candles are extinguished.
