Place the friction lid on the can.

Label the outside of the can with the full chemical name, amount and hazard information.

Place your chemical substance inside the bag. Twist tie the bag closed. Zipper-type bags are not as useful. If the substance
is dropped, you now have a sack full of chemical instead of a floor full of trouble.
STEP 2
Create a shallow layer
of kitty litter or SuperSorb®
absorbent on the bottom of the can. This material acts as an absorbent,
a cushion and an insulator.
STEP 3
Lower your bagged bottle of
chemical
into the can.
STEP 4
Fill the remaining void of the can with kitty litter or SuperSorb
so that the can is now full and the bottle of chemical is entirely surrounded.
