Flinn DNA Molecular Model Sets
Accurate in every detail, this DNA model will be a
tremendous assistance in helping your students visu-
alize the structure of the double helix! The bond angles are precise, the sugars are pentagonal, and the phosphates are pyramidal—the result is a model with perfect three-dimensional orientation. This model can be used to teach DNA replication.
The accuracy of the model is matched only by its ruggedness and brilliant colors. Color-coded parts represent each of the bases, sugars and phosphate components. If you can have only one DNA model, this is the one you want.
The 11 -tier model illustrates one complete twist of the DNA ladder. The 22-tier model shows two complete twists of the ladder. Both model sets come complete with stand, parts storage case, and all model components.

RNA Transcription/Translation Set
Let students gain hands-on knowledge of transcription and translation without having to use flimsy paper cutouts! Outstanding protein synthe- sis model contains 30 durable, 3-D pieces representing the components of a 12-base mRNA sequence as well as two tRNA molecules and two amino acids. The mRNA sequence is first assembled (transcribed) using the DNA nitrogen base sequence of an existing DNA model. The completed mRNA is then combined with the tRNA and amino acid model pieces to demonstrate the process of translation.
Kit comes complete with all color-coded parts and connectors and pre-drilled to assist in the assembly of the models.

DNA Model
This three foot long strand of DNA demonstrates the twisted ladder-like arrangement of DNA. The ease of twisting and untwisting this large molecule will help students visualize the 3-dimensional structure of DNA. The brightly colored base pairs and the dark contrasting deoxy- ribose sugars and phosphates in the rungs of the ladder make the model visible to all students during your demonstration. Carefully handmade using rugged flexible vinyl and hard wooden dowels. When completely coiled, the model is less than a foot in length for easy storage.
DNA, Replication and
Transcription Set
Easy-to-assemble system for constructing DNA and
RNA models and simulating replication and transcription. Build a DNA molecule and twist it into a double helix with 10 base pairs per helical turn—the same number as real DNA. Then “unzip” the model to mimic what happens during replication and transcription. Deoxyribose sugars, phosphate groups, nucleotides, and hydrogen bonds are all color-coded. Store the 521 pieces in the sturdy, stackable storage tray with snap-on lid. This kit is a valuable teaching aid to help students visualize not only the structure but also the function of DNA.
