Environmental Science— Water Testing Kits, continued
 Tapwater Tour®
A thorough, hands-on introduction to home water quality for students. Divided into five units, the tour provides students the opportunity to learn what’s in the water they drink, where it comes from and how it’s treated to make it safe. Each student will test his own tapwater for pH, chlorine, hardness, iron and copper. Tests are conducted using safe and simple reagent tablets. Each unit includes lecture materials, reproduc- ible handouts, test procedures and wrap-up exercises.
Materials supplied for 50 students to perform each test on their own water sample.
Water Test Kits, Individual
Analyze your local waters for pH, dissolved oxygen, nitrate, turbidity and much more with this wide selection of easy-to-use water testing kits. Each LaMotte kit comes conveniently supplied with pre-calibrated test tubes, labware, and all necessary reagents to give fast, accurate results, whether you’re out in the field or back in the lab. Easy-to- follow, step-by-step testing instructions are included with each kit, allowing your class to obtain reliable and repeatable values. Individual water kits utilize one of the following high-precision testing meth- ods—titrimetric methods using direct reading titrators or drop count tests or colorimetric methods using octet comparators, axial readers or colorulers.
Use of hazardous testing materials has been reduced or eliminated to ensure safety. Materials are sufficient for at least 50 tests and are furnished in a compact and durable black storage/carrying case. Economical reagent refill packages are available for all kits.

Flinn Winkler Dissolved Oxygen Test Kit
By: The Flinn Staff
Premade Winkler solutions greatly reduce your
preparation time for this standard dissolved oxygen test procedure. The titration calculations have been simplified and supplied so mL of reagent will translate directly into ppm of dissolved oxygen. The “microscale” design utilizes reduced sample volumes and reduced amount of reagents and thus is less expensive per test than other Winkler-type test kits. Kit comes with directions, background informa- tion and enough materials for 100 tests to measure oxygen concentrates from 0 to 10 ppm. Some standard laboratory glassware required.
