UV Intensity Meter and Lens Tester
Use this pocket-size UV intensity meter to demonstrate UV principles quickly and easily. Simply expose the card to UV light for 20 seconds, and the color strip will turn color in response to the intensity of the UV light. Rating of the intensity is revealed on the card as low, medium or high and correlates to SPF ratings from 15 to 40+. Use the card to determine if sunscreens work as advertised! Test the sun-blocking effectiveness of your sunglasses with the separate Lens Testing Strip on the card. This card can be used as a personal safety device or as an experimental tool.
Ultraviolet Detection Beads
These UV-detecting beads are a real attention getter—driving home the point that this invisible light is a real thing causing real changes. The hole in the ozone layer and the possible damage to living organisms by increased UV radiation has received a lot of study in recent years. These inexpensive beads can be used to help students start their own studies of the effects of UV radiation. These colorful beads turn to various bright colors when exposed to UV light and return to white when stored away from UV light. Have fun designing experiments with these beads. Approximately 240 beads per package.

Eye Model
Help make the structure of the eye more understandable for your students.
