Group 1 of the Periodic Table contains the reactive alkali metals. Your students will first build their easy to make paper models of atoms and electrons. They will then use the models to look at how the Group 1 elements react. The differently colored electrons make it easy to see how the bonds are formed and the models shows reactions with water, oxygen and chlorine.

The Model Making Kit includes enough materials for students to assemble up to 5 paper models working cooperatively.
