Ion is a highly competitive card drafting game. Each turn players select an atom or ion card to add to their collection. At the end of each round, points are scored for all neutral compounds, with bonus points awarded for completing special objective cards. Players learn about ionic bonding, polyatomic ions, noble gases and variable oxidation states. Ion complies with NGSS standards and STEM principles. Gameplay takes around 30 minutes and accommodates 2–7 players.
