Solubility and Temperature: A Solubility Curve—ChemTopic™ Lab Activity

Solubility depends on temperature, but the temperature dependence for the solubility of a substance can only be determined by experiment and by constructing a solubility curve. With the Solubility and Temperature: A Solubility Curve—ChemTopic™ Lab Activity, construct a solubility curve for potassium nitrate in water by measuring saturation temperatures for six different solution concentrations, then calculate and plot the solubility in each solution against the saturation temperature.
