The Voltaic Cell with Porous Cup is a complete electrochemistry cell designed for clear, reliable demonstrations of oxidation–reduction reactions and voltage generation. The unit includes a durable polystyrene voltaic cell body with a ceramic porous cup that fits neatly inside to allow ion exchange between two different electrolyte solutions. Seven electrodes are provided—one each of iron, carbon, and aluminum, and two each of copper and zinc—along with two electrode brackets for secure placement during experiments. The setup is compatible with common chemistry solutions such as copper sulfate and zinc sulfate, making it ideal for classroom demonstrations of galvanic cells, electrode potentials and electrochemical series concepts.
