In the Wimshurst Static Machine Demonstration for physical science and physics, produce high voltage during electrostatic demonstrations. A very durable unit with unbreakable plastic and static plates.
Produce high voltage during your electrostatic demonstrations. The rapidly spinning plates on the Wimshurst machine add a level of motion and excitement to the electrostatic charges being produced. The electrostatic charges are collected and discharged across the spark gap consisting of two balls mounted on metal rods. The spark length can be safely changed by adjusting the rods using the insulated ebonite handles. With the two Leyden jars in place, sparks of over two inches can be created. Without the Leyden jars in the circuit, a rapid succession of low energy sparks is produced. A very durable unit with unbreakable plastic static plates. Comes complete with user guide and suggested experiments.
