 Flinn C-Spectra®—
An Instant Spectroscope
Use Flinn CSpectra® as an alternative to a spec
troscope to clearly observe the emission spectra of gases in spectrum tubes. Simply view the light source through the CSpectra to observe a spectrum—the angle at which it is held is not even critical! As with any diffraction grating, several orders of a spectrum will be observed.
CSpectra can also be used to view flame tests. In this case, the spec tra of the elements are observed as a diffracted, diffused flame, not as discrete lines.
CSpectra is a holographic replica. Because of its holographic nature, every segment contains the ability to produce the same pattern. Thus, a single 8" x 10" piece of CSpectra can be cut into smaller pieces for student use. When cut into 11⁄2" squares, a single sheet of CSpectra provides approximately 30 pieces. CSpectra is washable and should be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Take care as it will scratch. 200 lines/mm.

Spectrum Charts
Spectra of the Elements Poster
This vivid poster is a wonderful teaching aid and a great compliment to your current periodic table. Your students will immediately understand that each element has its own spectral fingerprint. Hang it in your classroom, office or lab! This laminated poster is 24" x 36" and is a highquality, highresolution print with brilliant colors.
Solar Spectrum Chart
This handsome wall chart, covering the visible portion of the solar spectrum, shows the wavelength and letter assignment of the more prominent Fraunhofer lines. These dark lines, some narrow, some wide, are absorption lines of specific elements in the Earth’s or the sun’s atmosphere. Chart includes a table identifying the element responsible for each line in the spectrum and a brief history and description of Fraunhofer lines. Both colorful and informative, this chart makes an excellent teaching aid. Chart is heavy paper stock with metal binding strips across the top and bottom. The top strip includes two tabs for wall hanging. Measures 71 x 28 cm.
