TEACH SCIENCE YOUR WAY

The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) have been out for several years, but two teachers may perceive differently how the same activity reflects the NGSS vision. Although most teachers agree that the “right” way to implement the NGSS includes encouraging students to think like scientists, the execution of that presents challenges. For one, students who are comfortable using step-by-step procedures may not be okay with more autonomous decision making about what to do in a lab to get the information relevant to answer a particular question or reveal a phenomenon.

With the new 360Science™ platform, Flinn has reimagined what science instruction in the high school lab can look like. The program is highly adaptive and is useful regardless of where you are with respect to NGSS implementation.
