scores. Carefully following the College Board guidelines for AP®, we have developed a variety of solutions in accordance with the guidelines
as well as the new Unit Breakouts.
FLINNprep™

These online digital courses walk students through BIG IDEAS and
UNITS, one by one. Complete with content, supporting videos, assessments
and practice exams, these courses can be used individually or
together to fully teach your AP® program.

Comprehensive Courses Plus Inquiry Labs: These unique blended labs
enable a flipped classroom model by offering a combination of lab
videos and simulations in addition to the physical, inquiry-based labs
themselves.
Inquiry Lab Kits
These engaging inquiry lab activities are aligned to the latest
AP® curriculum standards. They include comprehensive background
information, step-by-step procedures, student worksheets, teacher
notes and the basic materials needed for each experiment.
POGIL®
The College Board specifically calls out using POGIL® activities as one
of the learning strategies for teaching AP® Courses. Flinn is proud to be
the sole supplier of POGIL® Activities for Environmental. This year we’ve
launched our new Flinn POGIL® Platform converting all our POGIL® books
into digital PDFs. Use the platform to access all your POGIL® materials,
upload additional content and store your lessons all in one easy-toaccess
location.
Review Demonstration Kits
Help students prepare for the AP® Environmental Exam. Select these
integrated, interactive activities to help students review principles and
concepts for major areas on the AP® Environmental Exam. Choose from
the following five products, containing three separate demonstrations
per kit. Students observe and record data, perform calculations and
analyze the results to answer AP-style essay questions. Kits include
all consumable chemicals and equipment needed to perform all three
demonstrations for two complete class sections.
Flinn Classic Laboratory Kits
The standards may have changed, but some things never go out of
style! Flinn’s tried-and-true Classic Labs provide necessary and valid
lessons for AP® Environmental Students. Only six labs in your curriculum
must be inquiry-based to meet College Board requirements. If
you have clear favorites among your existing labs, please continue to
do them.
Flinn Inquiry Transition Guides are available! These guides are 2–3
pages each and include an Opportunities for Inquiry section. This
section describes several approaches that may be used to adapt
the classic lab procedure to guided inquiry. The guides also show
how each lab aligns with the Enduring Understandings, Essential
Knowledge, Learning Objectives and Science Practices in the revised
AP® Environmental Curriculum Framework.
