Body Shower/Drench
We can’t think of a device more needed on school
premises to protect you and your students than this body
shower/drench hose. A body drench is a wonderful safety
device to provide a flow of water to handle lower body
splashes. Certainly it can also be used for the upper body
and even a face drench. The unit must be connected to
an existing water supply and will deliver four gallons of
water per minute. Units must be connected to a 3/4" IPS
water pipe. Drench hose is 6 feet long. ANSI Z358.1–1998, SEI certified.

Maintain Your Safety Shower
A safety shower is an absolute necessity in a science classroom where chemicals will
be used. Maintenance of a safety shower should be done on a routine basis to ensure
it is in good working condition. Is the valve easy to open? Does it stay open until you
shut it off? Is the flow of water constant and consistent? Is the shower available via an
unobstructed path?
How often you check the emergency shower depends on the quality of water and
age of the shower. Once a semester is a good starting point. Also, always remember to
document when you test your safety shower or any other safety equipment.

Emergency Shower/Eyewash Combination
The best of both worlds—two important safety aids in one location.
Designed to flush contaminants from eyes, face, or the entire body. The
eyewash has two large nozzles to irrigate both eyes and a portion of the
face. The orange push plate valve, when pressed down, activates the
flow of water and will remain on until manually closed, allowing both
hands to be free. 111/2" bowl and nozzles are constructed of a durable,
high-visibility orange ABS plastic. Stay-open valve is chrome-plated
brass with PTFE seals. The overhead shower delivers a 10" diameter
column of water. 29" stainless steel pull rod is easy to reach and
activates the shower. The valve will stay open until manually closed.
Shower head is made of a high-visibility orange ABS plastic.
The Emergency Shower/Eyewash Combination is easy to install and is mounted to
the floor with an 9" flange. Water supply inlet is 11/4" at the top or the side. All components
and the entire unit are ANSI Z358.1–2009, SEI certified.

Emergency Shower
Every chemical laboratory needs a safety shower in case
of emergency. The bright orange shower head on this
easy-to-activate stainless steel shower ensures shower
visibility. The shower head will deliver an 8" diameter
column of water. A 29" stainless steel pull rod and actuating
arm will activate the stay-open valve assembly. Units
are designed without screens or small openings which
might impede water flow. Piping is 1" and shower must be
connected to that same size pipe. A floor drain is recommended.
Two models are available—SE1020 is intended
to be connected to an overhead water source; SE1021 is
designed to be connected to a source of water that would come out of a wall.

Shower, Safety Tester
Emergency showers should be tested on a regular basis. However,
sometimes a real mess can be created when the testing is being
done. Consider the purchase of a Shower Safety Tester. Simply
attach this 12" diameter, 7' long, “water funnel” to your shower. Place
the bottom of the tester into a bucket. The deluge of water will be
directed into the bucket. Allow the tester to dry thoroughly, fold it up
and store it until the next safety audit.

Emergency Body Shower/Drench/
Eye/Face Wash Combination
This versatile eyewash can be converted into a drench
AP2264
shower for the entire body by simply lifting the spray head.
Provides a continuous dual stream of drenching water
wherever aimed. Bayonet mounted for stationary flushing,
or removable for spot body drenching. Both units are ANSI
Z358.1–2009, SEI certified.
Wall Mounted Type: Fixed position wall mount allows for
easy installation on a wall or the side of a laboratory bench.
Mounting bracket includes spring clips to ensure that the
spray heads face forward at all times. Unit may be left in
the mounting bracket for use as a fixed eyewash, leaving
the user’s hands free or removed for use as a drench hose. Each spray head has a
flip-top dust cover, internal flow control and filter to remove impurities from the water
flow. Features a chrome-plated brass stay-open ball valve with PTFE seals and a
retractable 12' reinforced-nylon hose. Requires a 3/8" NPT connection to water supply.
Swivel Benchtop Type: Mounted onto the top of the lab bench next to a sink.
When needed, the eyewash swivels over the sink so the water will go down the drain.
Features include 1/2" chrome-plated bronze stay-open ball valve with chrome-plated
ball and stainless steel pushplate; plastic, dual stream heads with chrome-plated
brass yoke; plastic float-off covers with stainless steel bead chains; 6' coiled hose

of 8 gallons per minute under varying conditions. Requires a 1/2" NPT connection to
water supply.

Inexpensive Body Drench
Don’t go without a body drench! If your school budget
can’t afford a body drench, consider this suggestion.
Acquire a handheld shower attachment at your local
hardware store. These shower attachments will have a
shower head on one end and a plastic adapter on the
other end to fit over your bathtub fixture. Cut off the
adapter, and now the plastic tubing will fit over your
serrated hose connection on your laboratory water
faucets. This inexpensive body drench/eyewash may not
pass an inspection, but it may save you or your students
from serious personal injury. Don’t do without this inexpensive
protection!
