Clamp with Hanger, Lever
Use these clamps with any meter stick and a balance support and you are ready to
study levers and torque in a hands-on fashion. The clamp’s unique design allows
easy reading of measurements and the setscrew locks the clamp securely on the
meter stick. The removable stirrup allows for dual purpose use—as a knife-edge
fulcrum pivot and as a mass hanger.
Note: Will not fit meter sticks with metal ends.

PSWORKS™ Lever Arm
Students can now effortlessly experiment with
first-, second- and third-class levers and see
the relationships between distance, mass and the position of the fulcrum. The Flinn
PSworks™ Lever Arm quickly attaches to the PSworks™ Support Stand, not included.
Additional materials needed are weight hangers, weights and string.

Demonstration Balance Support
You want a stable and rugged fulcrum platform when you do your meter stick lever
experiments. This is the one you want! Its cast aluminum construction is so durable
that it will not spring out of shape during use. Its wide base (3" x 3") and tall arch
(71/2") make it perfect for teenage hands trying to make things “balance.” The smooth
notched top is matched perfectly to accommodate a knife-edge clamp for smooth
operation. Meter stick and knife-edge clamp (AP4672) sold separately.

AP4669 Demonstration Balance Support $21.35
K’NEX Simple Machine Kits See page 389.
Human Block and Tackle—
Demonstration Kit
Students hold onto pulley rods and investigate
the setup and properties of different pulley systems. Students will actually feel the
effects of abstract concepts, such as mechanical advantage and force. Includes
complete instructions and a reproducible student worksheet.

Investigating Levers—
Student Laboratory Kit
As students pull on the levers they will personally
experience the mechanical advantage of each lever type. Once discovered the
principles can be applied to many everyday items such as wheelbarrows, shovels,
scissors and hammers.
Complete for one student group. Purchase multiple kits for an entire class set.
Slotted weights are available separately.
