Chemicals in Refrigerators
We commonly find flammables (like ether) and 30% hydrogen peroxide in
school science department refrigerators. Found along with these items are
lunches, apples and open cans of soda pop. Unless your school refrigerator
is designed specifically for the storage of flammables, keep chemicals out of
the refrigerator. Remember that sparking bimetallic switches activate both
the refrigerator’s compressor and internal light.
